Passports

The Twinsburg Public Library is an official Passport Acceptance Facility for the U.S. Department of State. We accept passport applications by appointment only. We also provide passport photo services seven days a week.

Applying for a New Passport

The Library can process your application if one of the following applies:

  • You are applying for your first U.S. Passport
  • You are under the age of 16
  • Your previous U.S. Passport was issued when you were under the age of 16
  • Your previous U.S. Passport was lost, stolen, or damaged
  • Your previous U.S. Passport was issued more than 15 years ago
  • Your name has changed since your U.S. Passport was issued and you are unable to legally document your name change

Make an appointment by visiting the Adult Reference Desk or by calling (330) 425-4268 x2. 

If you do not have any of these items or if you arrive more than five (5) minutes late, you will have to reschedule:

  • Check or money order
  • Original citizenship 
  • Name change documents if applicable
  • Identity documents 
  • The application filled out in advance

Appointments are available Monday-Thursday in the afternoons and evenings & Saturday afternoons.

Appointments are 30 minutes for one or two applicants. More than two applicants require 60 minutes.

Renewal by Mail 

Applicants may renew by mail if their previous passport was issued less than 15 years ago.

Passport Photos 

Passport photos are available at the Library for $10 during the hours listed below. Appointments are not needed.

Sunday1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Many local drugstores and wholesale clubs also provide passport photo services for a fee.

Applicants who apply in person will have an opportunity to receive their photo during their appointments.  

Parents or guardians of applicants under three years old should obtain photos prior to their appointments, as it can take a long time to get a photo of a small child.  You can get a picture elsewhere or come in at a separate time to take the picture at the Library.
