Library Card

Any Ohio resident may obtain a Twinsburg Public Library card. Applicant must present two documents with current address (e.g. official mail, a bill, checkbook, etc.) plus a photo ID. A Temporary card may be issued if an ID is not available. Children under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian present to apply and co-sign for a library card. Cards are free for first-time applicants. There is a $1.00 replacement fee for lost or stolen cards. Cards issued at the Twinsburg Public Library are recognized at any CLEVNET Library. Print out the library card application and bring it in with you!

How to Reserve Library Materials

Call the Adult or Youth Services Reference Desks at (330) 425-4268 x2 to reserve items or place your own reserve through the online catalog. If we own a book, but it is checked out, we will reserve it for you. When the book is returned, we'll notify you that it is here and hold it for seven days. We can also reserve material from other libraries in the CLEVNET system at no charge. Items from outside the CLEVNET system (also known as Interlibrary Loans) are subject to availability and may incur an interlibrary loan charge. If you are interested in borrowing an Interlibrary Loan, please contact the Adult Reference Desk.

How to Renew Library Materials

There are several ways to renew your material. You can either bring your books up to the front desk or call (330) 425-4268 x7. Please be sure to have your card number ready when you call. You can also renew online. Please note: if your items are overdue or not renewable, the computer may not process your request. Please be sure to verify that your items have a new due date to avoid late charges. The CLEVNET system automatically renews any items that are not on hold for another patron. Once the renewal limit is reached (or if the item is not renewable) you will receive an email notice or phone call.

Special Library Cards

• The Library provides temporary cards for users who will be in the service area for short periods of time or those users who cannot provide sufficient identification. Temporary cards can check out three print items and are valid for six months.
• Juvenile cards do not allow audiovisual materials to be checked out. Parents can sign a form allowing juveniles to check out those materials.
• Students under the age of 16 may get a limited card without parental permission. This card allows them to check out only three books. A letter is sent home to the parent informing them of this card access. There are two types: Three For Me (up to age 11) and Teen Triad (ages 12-17). Teen Triad allows limited access to the Internet.
• Those who live, work, or own property in Ohio may apply for an eCard to access most online services. ECardholders may not check out physical materials unless they upgrade to a full card. Please see the eCard application page for more details.

For most types of items, there is no borrowing limit. Check with the Library about limits for eBooks and devices, as these change regularly.
